CIRPÉE's research programming gravitates within five closely integrated fields of study.
The first two fields analyze both the micro-economic and macro-economic aspects of job offer and demand. The third examines the labour market as a whole, taking a simultaneous look at job offer and demand. The fourth is concerned with the international aspects of human capital and employment, whereas the fifth touches on the interaction between the financial sector and employment trends. Each field of research is overseen by a scientific director. The fields are called:
1- Social policies, market structures, and employment
2- Public economy and political economy
3- Global analysis of economic policies and employment
4- Human capital, growth, and international development
5- Risk management and financial markets
