About us

The Centre  interuniversitaire sur le risque, les politiques économiques et l'emploi (CIRPÉE) (Inter-University Centre on Risk, Economic Policies, and Employment) counts more than 42 researchers from HEC Montréal, Laval University, UQAM, McGill, and Concordia.

CIRPÉE's mission is to support the research activities of its members and to contribute to the training of young researchers in the fields of risk assessment, economic policies, and employment.

CIRPÉE researchers analyze the advantages and costs associated with public policies by studying the multiple facets of labour-market operations and corporate financing strategies.

Since 2002, CIRPÉE has been receiving substantial annual funding from the Fonds québécois de recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC) (Quebec Research Fund for Quebec Society and Culture). This funding -along  with institutionnal and financial support from UQAM, Laval University, and HEC Montreal, -enables us to organize research and training activities that focus on five main fields of investigation:

1- Social policies, market structures, and employment;

2- Public economy and political economy;

3- Global analysis of economic policies and employment;

4- Human capital, growth, and international development;

5- Risk management and financial markets.
